1. Regular B.Tech (1st Year Entry)
Candidates who want to take admission in the first year of the B.Tech program must fulfill the following basic academic requirements:
Educational Qualification: Must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: chemistry, biology, biotechnology, or a technical vocational subject.
Minimum Marks Requirement: For General Category Candidates, a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination is mandatory, and for Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC) Minimum 45% aggregate marks as per government norms.
2. Lateral Entry (Direct Admission to 2nd Year)
HRIT University also offers lateral entry into the second year of the B.Tech program. This means students who have already completed a Diploma in Engineering or a B.Sc. degree can join B.Tech directly in the second year. The requirement of marks remains the same in both entries.
